A full two-group traditional espresso machine squeezed into 475mm of bench. Volumetric dosing, shot timers, static pre-infusion and automatic group cleaning — built in Portugal for sites that need two-group output but simply don't have two-group bench space.
Two Groups, 475mm Wide
Most two-group traditional machines run 700–800mm across the bench. The Caravel 2 CV Compact does it in 475mm — the body of a one-group machine. If you're fitting out a café bar, a hotel service station, a bakery counter or a corporate kitchen where every millimetre of bench is spoken for, this is the machine that solves the problem without dropping you back to single-group throughput.
Shot Clock Timers on the Touchpad
Each group displays a live extraction timer on the touchpad, so your barista sees the shot time as it runs — not after the fact. It's the single fastest way to spot a grind that's drifted through the day, and it turns "that tasted off" into "that ran at 19 seconds, tighten the grind." Real quality control on the bar, without a separate timer or a stopwatch on the bench.
Volumetric Dosing — Set It Once
Programmable drink and hot water portions mean shot volumes are dialled in and repeated automatically, cup after cup, across both groups. Paired with the shot timers, you've got both halves of the consistency equation: the volume is locked, and the time tells you the grind is still where it should be. Consistency stops depending on who's rostered on.
Static Pre-Infusion Chamber
Each group carries a static pre-infusion chamber that gently wets the puck before full pump pressure arrives. The result is a more even extraction, less channelling, and a more forgiving machine when the grind or the tamp isn't perfect.
Automatic Group Cleaning
A built-in automated backflush cycle for the groups. Close-down becomes a button press rather than a training exercise, which protects your group seals and your coffee quality over the life of the machine.
Standard 10A Power — No Electrician Required
At 1800W the Caravel 2 CV Compact runs off a standard 10A power point. No 15A outlet, no switchboard work, no electrical trade cost before you've pulled your first shot. For office fitouts, pop-ups, function spaces and tenanted sites where you can't touch the wiring, that's the difference between installing today and installing next month.
Single Boiler, Rotary Pump, 6 Litres
A traditional 6-litre single boiler with pressurestat temperature control and a rotary pump — the proven, serviceable, technician-friendly configuration. One steam wand and one hot water tap, which is the trade-off for the compact body: worth thinking through if you're running heavy milk service on both groups simultaneously.
