About the Coffee
Most Kenyan coffee is a mix of cherry from thousands of smallholders, all processed together at big factories. This one isn't. Nandi AB comes from a single 2-acre farm in the green hills of Kenya's Nandi region, run by one farmer who has been working the land for more than ten years.
On a farm that size every tree gets looked at on its own. There are no synthetic fertilisers either; the soil is fed with organic manure instead, which keeps the land in good health and lets the place come through in the cup.
A small permanent crew does the work, and the farmer keeps a close eye on everything from picking right through to drying. What you end up with is a washed micro-lot of Ruiru 11 grown at 1,800 to 2,000 metres, and buying it supports an independent grower doing things properly.
Expect blackcurrant and white peach, a floral lift of hibiscus and cane sugar sweetness underneath it all. Bright, juicy and very Kenyan. If you've only ever had Kenyan coffee as part of a blend, this is a good chance to try one on its own.

Bright acidity, clean florals and plenty of sweetness, so the classic 1:16 is the place to start. No need to get clever.
- Ratio: 1:16 (15g to 240g water, or 18g to 288g) β gives the blackcurrant and sugary base some weight while leaving room for the hibiscus and white peach to come through clean
- Time: 2:45β3:15 β a clean, even draw-down keeps the acidity lively and the sweetness juicy, without dragging out any dryness at the end
- Temp: 93β95Β°C β high-grown Ruiru 11 is a dense bean, and hotter water is what it takes to pull out the bright acids Kenyan coffee is known for

Here's the scoop:
- Aussie rivals only: The competitor must be an Australian retailer with prices in AUD and shipping from within our great nation.
- Brand buddies: They must be an authorised retailer of the specific brand you're eyeing.
- Twinsies, please: The product needs to be an exact match, brand new in its box, and readily available.
- Delivery included: We'll factor in the competitor's delivery cost for an apples-to-apples comparison.
Now, for some exceptions, where our price-matching magic might not work:
