An event every month that begins at 10:30am on day 9 of the month, repeating until December 20, 2016

The Essence of Espresso & Espresso workshops may be taken separately in 2016 or as a full day package.

MORNING – ESSENCE OF ESPRESSO.
Designed to thoroughly explain and train in the art of espresso.

We thoroughly explore correct extraction involving grinder philosophy and adjustments, espresso machine calibration, espresso volumes and espresso machine trouble shooting. Barista techniques are explained by following objective and subjective systems.

Training is provided through making the complete coffee menu which incorporates milk texturing techniques to make perfect foam for coffee art and latte art demonstrations.

AFTERNOON – ESPRESSO WORKSHOP.
This 3 hour workshop is a direct follow-on from the Essence of Espresso theory to practically apply all the teachings in making the full espresso menu, including practicing and refining milk techniques.

A DSCI Formare Barista Certificate is issued at the completion of the course.
